My audiovisual expertise at the service of others

I accompany audiovisual projects of all types of institutions from conception to editing. I love to immerse myself in their universes, listen to them and offer them a form and a message. They are most often short formats for webcasting or for internal use, or for educational purposes for targeted audiences.

Iraqi women (2018-2020)

Elbarlament, a German organization for which I work regularly, is doing wonderful work with women in Iraq through a project with women writers and another one with women involved in civil society and politics.

Iraqi women writers

A project to support women writers from all over Iraq to meet, create together and gain confidence and self-awareness of their qualities. To make this film, I proposed to Lorenz Findeisen, director and cinematographer, to work with me. You can see the result of our four-handed work here.

In 2020, elbarlament organized the first festival of Arabic women’s literature. Women writers from all over the Arab world met in Tunis in January.

In 2019, Iraqi women writers came together to conduct their own writing workshops with young women from different parts of the country. Here, the participants are from Mosul.

In 2018, Iraqi women writers wrote together theatre plays accompanied by Junaid Sarieddine, a Lebanese dramaturg of the Zoukak theater company and Radwan Taleb, a Syrian dramaturg.

Women for change

The project supporting women involved in politics or in associations allows them to meet and exchange about women’s rights in their country. Here is the result of their meeting, in which men also participated for the first time in 2019:

Here is the film of their meeting in 2018 dedicated to electoral fraud and the modification of the family law:

Challenges of the farmers in the Fouta Djallon, Guinea (2019)

During the year 2019, I went to Guinea Conakry to make six short films for the CCFD-Terre Solidaire on actions in favor of agroecology and citizenship in the Fouta Djallon region. With Emilie Leroux, in charge of the region, we were guided by the Fouta Djallon Farmers Federation based in Timbi Madina which brings together thousands of Fouta Djallon farmers.

To know more about the projects runned by CCFD-Terre Solidaire, you may have a look here: https://ccfd-terresolidaire.org And to know more about the Federation of the Farmers of the Fouta Djallon, please click here: http://www.paysansfouta.org/

To experiment agroecology means to adopt it!

Agroecology is a source of hope….

When farmers get involved in the public life of their town…

Farmers in Fouta-Djallon get organised and united.

Diversify crops leads to diversify food.

Literacy changes lives of farmers in Fouta-Djallon…

Migrations in Niger (2017)

For many years now, the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) has been implementing a series of programs to help local authorities deal with the consequences of migratory flows. It asked me to make a short internal film for them. Here is an excerpt:

The birth of RYCO (2017)

RYCO (Regional Youth Coooperation Office) has opened its doors. This regional office, common to six Balkan countries, allows young people from these countries to visit each other and to set up exchange projects together. Because relations between these neighboring countries (Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia) are not stabilized and young people rarely visit their neighboring country. I had the pleasure of making a film on the birth of RYCO, following the closed-door discussions between government representatives and youth associations to bring this process to its conclusion. If you want to know more about RYCO’s activities, please click here: http://www.rycowb.org

You can now watch the film here :

The Western Balkans in the European Union: which perspectives for the region within Europe? (2017)

On June 2017, CIFE, together with CFA and IAI, organized in Trieste a Forum for researchers from all over Europe to exchange their views on the process of rapprochement between the European Union and the Balkan countries. Here is an overview of the Reflection Forum:

The Western Balkans in the EU: new perspectives of integration? (2016)

In 2014, a discussion between the European Union and the Balkans began under the impulse of Chancellor Angela Merkel. Since then, every year, a European capital has hosted a Summit bringing together the EU Member States and the Western Balkans states.
CIFE, together with IFRI and the CFA, organized meetings of experts who make concrete proposals in order to bring the Balkans and the European Union closer together.
In 2016, CIFE asked me to make a film on this meeting of experts to highlight and inform the States of their expectations.

Learning and Living Europe (2016-2018)

What a beautiful message! And meeting the students who study at CIFE is a real pleasure as they are enriched by this extraordinary experience. CIFE is a private European university that awards master’s level diplomas in international relations. The particularity is that the academic year is spread over three countries. Students are therefore required to travel, study and live in three different countries.

In 2018, I had the pleasure of making a video presentation of their new Master’s degree on energy and energy transition. Here is the video:

In 2017 I made a video about their short training for American and Chinese students. It’s here :

In 2016, I made short videos on different training courses that the CIFE offers. A video on the diploma in European studies for working professionals (with the essential done online as well as regular meetings in different European capitals).

Executive Master in EU Studies:

A video on their degree in Trilingual Studies where the students speak French, German and English:

I made the video on Mediterranean Studies with stays in three cities around the Mediterranean:

And I finally made a video on their degree untitled European Integration and global studies:

Giving Burma Parliament a voice (2015)

elbarlament, a German consulting firm, supports professional teams of national parliaments in countries in transition. In 2015, it trained and prepared Burmese parliamentary officials for the unprecedented opening of their country, welcoming the public and disseminating information. I had the pleasure of making a film about this meticulous work in Burma. Here is the English version of the film:
